Cym. Pleasant Valley ‘Prestige’ AM/AOS

This is the third release of a division of this plant. It is an outstanding grower and bloomer. Long pendulous spikes of brown/polychrome flowers with excellent form and presentation, and very floriferous. Being a primary suave hybrid, this plant has multiple spikes per bulb and can also bloom off old bulbs. Near blooming size division in a gallon pot.

Cym. Blazing Rose ‘Feathered’ MP

A very nice feathered cymbidium in fall shades of red/yellow/orange. This plant originated at Bryant’s Orchids in Australia, and was imported and sold exclusively by Santy Orchids. This is a very reliable bloomer. A division of the original imported plant. Near blooming size division in a gallon pot.

Cym. Sydney’s Passion + Oryzalin

These will all be alba cymbidiums in yellow and cream shades. These are blooming size divisions in gallon pots, ready to bloom this coming season. This is a hybrid between two very good diploid alba cymbidiums. Portuguese passion has crystalline white flowers on relatively short spikes with good flower count that gracefully arch. Sydney Harbor has bright yellow flowers on very tall upright spikes that arch at the top of the spike. The cross was treated with Oryzalin in order to convert some of them to tetraploid (4N).

This is a hybrid between an alba carrying fragrant goeringii hybrid and a very nice snow white alba. We expect very compact plants with cream-colored flowers and a good percentage of albas ranging from yellow to white. Many should also be fragrant. This is a very exciting hybrid for people looking for compact and fragrant cymbidiums. These are single growth seedlings in 3.5 inch pots.

This is the pairing of two exceptional alba yellows. The Gateway to Gold brings size, form and robustness, and the Sydney Harbor it’s bright color and very tall spike. Both are very good growers. We expect many bright colored easy to grow upright alba yellows from the hybrid. These are single growth seedlings in 3.5 inch pots.

Award Winning Cymbidium Grower and Judge

I am an orchid enthusiast and former judge for the Cymbidium Society of America (CSA) who specializes in growing exhibition and award quality cymbidiums outdoors in southern California. Here the weather is great for growing many different types of orchids and cymbidiums are the perfect choice. I have been collecting these plants over the past 20+ years, and more recently been making my own hybrids trying to create new and exciting varieties that combine high color and form to attract the attention of the discerning hobbyist.
